Description
Corrosion protection for industrial uses. Produced by Stainless Steel Coatings Inc. - USA, STEEL IT is not a paint, but a true coating consisting of micro-roles of AISI 316 L stainless steel embedded in special mixtures of polyurethane, epoxy or silicone resins.
The special formulation of the product induces the micro-roles to rise to the surface, so as to form, once cured, a stainless steel coating layer that has excellent resistance to moisture, corrosion and abrasion in the most diverse and difficult industrial, marine and civil environments. High operating temperature

The use of common steel coated with STEEL IT instead of stainless steel allows significant cost savings, both in terms of the cost of the base material and due to the greater weldability and ease of processing of the raw material.
It also avoids the loss of stainless steel characteristics in the welding areas, as the coating is done after these operations.
STEEL IT complies with Ministerial Decree 21/3/1973 as amended and supplemented for contact with various foods and beverages, as well as drinking water.
The polyurethane and epoxy systems are also USDA (United States Department for Agriculture) approved for use in the food, packaging, handling and other industries where there is occasional contact with food.
STEEL IT is packaged in American units of measurement:
Gallon = 3.780 litres
Quarto = 0.945 litres
14 oz aerosol = 400 ml
7 oz aerosol = 200 ml
The available packages for each type can be found on the respective data sheets.
STEEL IT comes in different 'systems' - each consisting of primer (undercoat) and topcoat - and 'formulations' to meet a wide variety of protection and coating requirements.
